KFSH&RC × MIT Hacking Medicine Hackathon 2026 King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre, in collaboration with MIT Hacking Medicine, invites you to a three-day healthcare innovation hackathon, taking place Thursday, December 3 at 5:00 PM through Saturday, December 5, 2026 at 9:00 PM, at Derwazah Hall, King Saud University, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Whether this is your first hackathon or you are an experienced innovator, entrepreneur, or part of a startup team, we encourage you to apply. You can come with an idea or challenge you want to explore, or simply bring your expertise and join others in building something new. Who Can Apply? The hackathon welcomes clinicians, researchers, engineers, entrepreneurs, designers, technologists, and innovators from diverse backgrounds will come together in multidisciplinary teams to tackle real healthcare challenges. Over three days, participants will work in multidisciplinary teams, supported by expert mentors, to identify healthcare opportunities, develop solutions, and build compelling prototypes with the potential for investment, acceleration, commercialization, and scale. With guidance from expert mentors, teams will identify important unmet needs, develop solutions, and turn promising ideas into prototypes and startup concepts with real-world potential. No previous hackathon or entrepreneurship experience is required. Hackathon Tracks Participants will develop innovative, scalable, and commercially viable healthcare products across three key tracks: 1- Digital Health & Patient-Centered Solutions Develop scalable digital solutions that address unmet needs for patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. Ideas may include patient navigation, chronic disease management, preventive health, medication adherence, remote and home-based care, mental health, digital therapeutics, personalized care, and AI-enabled health platforms. 2- MedTech, Diagnostics & Precision Health Turn research discoveries, clinical insights, biomedical engineering, and emerging technologies into commercially viable healthcare solutions. Ideas may include medical devices, diagnostics, biomarkers, precision medicine, biotechnology, point-of-care technologies, clinical decision-support, and AI-enabled diagnostics. 3- Healthcare Transformation & Future Care Develop scalable B2B healthcare technology products that address challenges faced by hospitals, health systems, clinics, insurers, and other healthcare organizations. Solutions may leverage AI, data analytics, automation, robotics, and connected technologies to improve areas such as clinical and administrative workflows, workforce optimization, patient flow, resource utilization, interoperability, operational intelligence, and healthcare sustainability.
