Every year, millions of people experience injuries or conditions that change how they move, live, and connect with others. Around 2.4 billion people worldwide could benefit from rehabilitation, yet many still lack access to proper care and support. This track invites innovators to design practical, human-centered solutions that help people recover and regain independence, from adaptive therapy tools and smart prosthetics to virtual rehabilitation and home-based recovery systems.
Let’s restore mobility, confidence, and quality of life.

Accurate and timely diagnosis can make the difference between recovery and complication, yet millions still face long waits, limited access, or errors in the process. Studies estimate that diagnostic errors affect about one in twenty adults each year in outpatient settings. This track invites innovators to develop connected, easy-to-use diagnostic tools that bring clarity and speed to care — from AI-powered triage systems and virtual imaging platforms to symptom-checking interfaces and telehealth dashboards.
Let’s make diagnosis more accurate, accessible, and human for everyone.

Access to healthcare should not depend on geography, yet it remains one of the biggest barriers to care. The World Health Organization estimates that 4.5 billion people lack access to essential health services, especially in rural and remote communities. This track focuses on hardware and low-resource solutions that bring care directly to patients. Teams might design handheld diagnostics, mobile monitoring devices, or rugged medical tools that can operate in remote or resource-limited settings.
Let’s make healthcare mobile, inclusive, and within reach for everyone.

BeyondHack is month-long accelerator for teams who are seeking to innovate within the healthcare ecosystem. Preference is given to teams who participated in a previous hack through MIT Hacking Medicine and want to continue to take their ventures to the next level with the specialized guidance of judges, mentors, and workshops. Prospective BeyondHack teams should be pursuing their venture full-time and have made significant strides in their venture before participating in this accelerator.
Congratulations to all BeyondHack winners!
