CODE OF CONDUCT
MIT Hacking Medicine and our partners are dedicated to providing a safe and welcoming environment for everyone participating in our hackathons, including, but not limited to, hackers, mentors, judges, volunteers, sponsors, partners and MIT Hacking Medicine members. Any individual present at the event is subjected to this code of conduct, and must agree to abide by it in order to participate.
Participants are expected to treat one another with respect. Harassment of any form will not be tolerated at this event. This includes offensive written or verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, social class, economic status, veteran status, political views, or previous hackathon/coding/healthcare experience or lack thereof; sexual images; deliberate intimidation; stalking or following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks, workshops, presentations, or other events; inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention. Any participants asked to stop their harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
This code of conduct applies to all interactions, whether online or in-person, related to this event, including social media posts about the event.
Any individuals who engage in harassment, or behave in ways that are otherwise inappropriate or disruptive to the event, may be subjected to disciplinary action at the discretion of the event organizers. This may include warnings, disqualification from judging eligibility, and/or expulsion from the event without refund.
If you are being harassed, notice someone else being harassed, or have additional questions or concerns about the code of conduct, please inform the event team immediately at email@example.com with “HARASSMENT REPORT” in the subject line. All reporters have the right to remain anonymous.
MIT Hacking Medicine reserves the right to revise, make exceptions to, or otherwise amend these policies in whole or in part.
