[Deadline] Lown Institute RightCare Alliance Young Innovator Grants
September 12, 2014
We are pleased to inform you that Lown Institute is now accepting proposals for the RightCare Alliance Young Innovator Grants, which provide funding for students, residents and junior faculty to pilot programs that teach trainees to recognize and avoid overuse, provide ethical, compassionate care, and build more meaningful relationships with patients.
As medical students and clinicians, you have surely seen the harms your patients experience from over-testing, over-diagnosis and overtreatment. Help counter the prevailing culture of overuse by developing or supporting innovative projects that assist your peers in recognizing, understanding and avoiding overuse.
Grants can support new and existing projects, and give you an opportunity to participate in leadership training and a learning network focused on transforming medical education and the culture of health care. Program and application information can be found on the Lown website and in the attached Call for Proposals.
Deadline for applications is September 12, and recipients will be notified on late October. This program is made possible through the generous support of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.
We hope you consider applying for one of these grants. Should you have particular questions, please feel free to contact the Lown Institute at firstname.lastname@example.org.
