A healthcare hackathon is an event in which people with diverse perspectives such as clinicians, engineers, designers, software developers, business people, problem solvers, and patients will come together in one intense, fun-filled three-day weekend to develop solutions that could address challenges facing healthcare today. At this year’s CBIT-YNHHS patient experience and provider engagement hackathon, you will form teams, collaborate within a limited time frame, and focus on a specific problem or idea in healthcare to come up with innovative, disruptive ideas and solutions. We believe that healthcare’s biggest challenges can be diagnosed and addressed effectively from multiple perspectives and look forward to having you attend.

Check out this video from our recent #AlderHeyHack in Liverpool, England…
This Hackathon was a two day event, held at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, that brought together participants from different professions to solve (or hack) problems. Challenges were pitched by clinicians, healthcare professionals, patients and parents and participants formed teams to find a solution to these challenges. The teams then pitched their solutions to a panel of judges.
The event was a partnership between Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, the NWCAHSN and MIT with support from Open Labs @ LJMU.
